@LOVECAKExoxo i think so… i guess they count as pictures??
@LOCKERZ1142
Doubtful. Looks at the screen refresh rate when it switches screens – now think about how well video would work.
@Pinwormx
No kidding, I was thinking the exact same thing. Patents maybe?
That weird split-brain between the two screens is about the only thing that makes me hesitate before getting this device…
Why not just make the touch area a trackpad for the games and web?
can u read manga books?
@LOCKERZ1142 i have the new nook and i think u can but u have to download adobe flash player which i havent done yet so yeah …..but i think you’ll b able to after the download
@09barack
I don’t think the Nook can do Flash, but Facebook and Twitter maybe.
I want to get this sooo much! I will have it. You totally sold me on it. I like this one better than the Kindle and the sony ereaders from what I’ve seen. I’m so excited to get one. I love to read so much this will help me tremendously. I won’t have to carry around so many books.
Your reviews are so great!
Ummm..i am about to buy a eBook. I wanted to know can you get on youtube or you know, twitter and facebook. ? [Just asking]
@poeticmurder911 Its for if your bored and give your eyes a break
can you go to youtube on the nook
@jc3202 both
does the nook have free 3g like kindle or does it have just wifi ?
why add games and more distractions to a book reader? dumb move
I got my Nook last week and I’m simply loving it, as soon as I turned it on it instantly started to download and install firmware 1.3, everything runs smoothly, I have read an entire book and going 200+ pages on my second one, with the Nook you choose from thousands of ebooks free from the internet, there’s literally hundreds of sites offering free ebooks on line, many in pdf or epup formats which the Nook supports with no problem, I can’t be happier with this gadget!
@superE230 You couldn’t transfer them, I don’t think. Unless they were PDFs. If you’re not sure if they are, they probably aren’t.
What a Piece of Junk! OMG! I wouldn’t spend my hard earned money on this junk. this would be cool 15 years ago! What a rip off.
That’s it, i’m getting a Nook lol. I was having a tough time between whether I should get the Kindle 2 or the Nook. Despite people saying that the Kindle 2 is the better buy, i’m completely SOLD on getting this for my birthday.
I plan on getting one before the end of this year. I’m glad to see that they are keeping the updates coming. The lack of a “Go To Page #” function is still laughably odd.
I love my nook. People in the subway are always looking at me thinking it’s a Kindle lol.
@crazybeast6 it will be/…..and yea itll be limited….the alex will be more open though
@superE230
I don’t think you can
I have been saving my money up to buy a Nook for months and I finally have enough money so I plan to get it this weekend, and good thing I waited until the weekend because I was considering getting a kindle instead, but my minds made up on the Nook (I’m a Barnes and Noble Loyalist anyway)
I bought a kindle a couple months ago. And I am having second thoughts with the new nook updates. Is the kindle still better? And could i switch my books onto a new nook if i switched?
i love my nook after buying it yesterday…….do you know if the Android Marketplace will be available on the nook (however limited it may be?)
Love Ya Lisa
