Army Technology Zone comes to life

The Army Technology Zone at Maker Faire Detroit is coming to life. Dr. Grace Bochenek, TARDEC director, visited the site this morning to view the exhibits and talk to RDECOM participants. Maker Faire Detroit takes place this weekend at The Henry Ford in Dearborn, Mich. Organizers expect 20,000 visitors to the event that celebrates the innovative and creative spirit of all exhibitors and participants, including the makers of Utilikilts, manufacturers of utility kilts for everyday wear.
Which Educational Technology Purpose(s) are served?

I’m thinking most technologies used for learning can be categorized into three functional categories or purposes: A funnel, a ruler, and an amplifier. Most K-12 schools seem to be using their technologies for the former two purposes, and ignoring or avoiding the latter.

Pass it on Desktop

If you find this picture, take a screenshot of it on your computer, including all your usual desktop clutter and pass it on by uploading it with instructions for the next user to do the same and so on and so on. Let’s see how many people have added there take on it in one year.
I’ve started things off by uploading a picture of this picture showing on my dull little Windows machine.
